Comprehensive education resource inspired by Ardent Theatre’s 2023 production of Strike!, Tracy Ryan’s play about the Dunnes Store anti-apartheid strike in Dublin, 1984–87. The resource includes units on life under apartheid, anti-apartheid campaigning, the Dunnes Store strike, culture and activism in the 1980s, trade unions and Strike!, the play. It consists of specially written articles, timelines, podcasts, oral history interviews, blogs, photos and links to other resources. It includes an education pack designed for students at secondary schools and FE colleges, studying drama and history, as well as contributing to schemes of work around citizenship and social sciences.
